Tiebreakers & Year-End Finals

If there’s a tie between two or more teams to see who qualifies for the year-end finals, here’s how it gets settled:

  1. Each tied team randomly draws a player from their own team.
  2. Those drawn players play one individual rack of 8-ball and accumulate points just like regular playoffs.
  3. Teams are ranked within that tie based on the points. (e.g., 30 pts = 1st in the tie group, 25 = 2nd)

Still tied?

Each team randomly draws another player from their remaining roster for another individual rack. This continues through all five players. If still tied after all five… the random draw starts over. Someone’s gotta win!

At the end of the year, the top qualifying teams from the three session playoffs have another playoff to determine who goes to the final event in Florida to compete for the big prize money. 🌴

  • What if my team qualifies multiple times? If a team qualifies in two sessions, they get two chances (the higher of the two scores is used). Qualify in all three? Three chances for a great score. Dominate every session for maximum advantage!
  • Is the finals format different? Nope! The format is exactly the same as the session playoffs — each member plays 3 individual racks contributing up to 30 points (max 150 per team).

The final event is a standard double-elimination tournament between all qualifying teams. Teams are drawn at random to determine the initial bracket positions.

Final event rules are the same as league session rules, with one match-format exception: the team that wins 3 of the 5 player matches wins that team match. Each player match is a race to 3 games.

Players use their average handicap throughout each session. Players who have never gone below a 2 handicap will be a 3 handicap in the finals.

Each team competing in the finals receives prize money. The farther a team advances, the more prize money it receives. First place receives the largest payout.
