Video Recording Requirements

REQUIRED

All playoff matches must be filmed with a smartphone. Make sure your phone is charged!

• Will there be witnesses? Yes! Playoffs will always have a witness for each team match played.
• What’s the filming procedure? There should be no interruption of the video while filming (i.e., nobody standing between the camera and the pool table). All players will show a numbered pool ball to the camera before shooting to confirm their handicap, plus a legal ID.

Example

A 3-handicap shows the red #3 ball. A zero/minus handicap shows the cue ball.

Rulings

If video is blocked during a game, the ABL board will review the footage. Penalties or disqualifications could be applied. The board’s decision is final.

ABL has the right to disqualify players and teams or deduct points if the board detects unfair play.
